Paracas, a lively town on Peru's west coast, known for its stunning beaches like El Chaco, set on sheltered Paracas Bay highlights its great potential to invest in its tourism development.
During the celebration of the XVIII Yakumama Festival 2025 the President of Captur, the Chamber of Tourism and Foreign Trade of Paracas, Eduardo Jáuregui said that Paracas has a great economic potential to invest in different sectors, especially in accommodations and restaurants, highlighting in addition the Paracas Route, included in terms of future tourism investments next to other very attractive destinations like Beatita de Humay, Tambo Colorado and the Póron lagoon.
The President of Captur added that these sites are tourist resources that can be added to private investment creating a source of employment, and he pointed out that it will allow the integration of this tourist corridor and the towns of the area have the task of creating prosperity for residents, creating initiatives.
In this sense, the President asked the municipal authorities to grant facilities to make investments in the Paracas resort.
Paracas apart the sites above mentioned has a great potential to invest in tourism development with its pristine beaches, the town is a launch point for the uninhabited Ballestas Islands, home to sea lions, pelicans and Humboldt penguins and it boasts the stunning Paracas National Reserve, a wonder spanning desert, ocean and islands.
For excursions, hiking and adventure Paracas Peninsula boasts numerous trails including the Paracas Bay trail and the Lagunills - Playa Roja trail.
Popular routes include the Ica Vineyards, as well as walks along the Malecón de Paracas and Playa La Mina, in an area that is a popular spot to observe flamingos and other wildlife and another attraction is the peninsula's Paracas Candelabra, a huge prehistoric geoglyph, etched into a hillside.
The Mirador Istmo and Mirador Catedral are great viewpoints that offer spectacular panoramic views of the reserve and surrounding landscape.
Captur President said that to transform all these resources in investment is a public - private effort and in addition he also highlighted the support of the Tourism Police in an area as Paracas highlighted by security and tranquillity, ideal for the development of tourism and investments with the creation of jobs.
The President revealed that Paracas has become the second tourist destination in the first two months of this year with 256.000 visitors.
Referring to Yakumama 2025 the head of Captur said that it is the date on which the Paracas Sea is greeted and thanked for the rich marine food it provides to the area and also that is why tourists arrive, and the optimal action is to strengthen the scenario and continuing to work.
The Yakumama 2025 took place in a festive atmosphere with the presence of artists like Mac Salvador, William Luna and Pelo D' Ambrosio who delighted the thousands of attendees with their repertoire.
The next day, the ceremony and gratitude to the sea of Paracas was staged by the group of artists of Inti Raymi and musically accompanied by the sicuris "Unión Juventud Pampilla" from the province of Huancané in Puno.
Finally, the President of Captur announced that the XIX edition of Yakumama 2026 will take place from 30th to May 30th May, informing that there will be a craft fair in which various Andean products from Cusco, Puno and Arequipa will be shown and highlight the cultural festival.
