Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., an American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia has unveiled the future opening of two hotels in Manchester, a major city in the northwest of England, UK, known for its rich industrial heritage, architecture, culture, musical exports, media links, scientific and engineering impact, football club and transport connections.
Hilton expansion in Manchester is part of a planned strategy to enhance the presence in key British destinations like Manchester that attracts over four million domestic visitors and 1.7 million international tourists annually, with more 11 million overnight stays each year.
The development includes Europe’s largest Hampton by Hilton , the Hampton Hilton Manchester City Centre and the city’s first Motto by Hilton, the Motto by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly, in partnership with Dean Street Developments Limited, a high quality UK based property development company operating across Europe.
The Hampton by Hilton Manchester City Centre - The hotel will be located in Deansgate, a historic and vital 1.6 km long road, known for its role as a transit hub and a street rich in culture, entertainment and shopping, stretching from the city’s Cathedral to the Castelfield area and railway station, providing convenient access to Manchester Airport.
The property is scheduled to open for early 2026 and will be the largest Hampton by Hilton hotel in the European contient featuring 358 rooms, and amenities such as a dining zone, a fitness area and meeting space.
The hotel will enter into the global powerhouse Hampton by Hilton brand that appeals to business & leisure guests from families to busy professionals, and a dedicated focus on providing value for travellers in the mid - range market, a brand that pioneered a 100% satisfaction guarantee, promising to “make it right” for guests.
The Motto by Hilton Manchester Picadilly - Set to open in 2027, the hotel will be situated in the Picadilly Basin, near Manchester Piccadilly Station, close to several attractions including Piccadilly Gardens, Canal Street, the vibrant Northern Quarter with its shops nigthlife, and a short distance from the Manchester Arndale, a large shopping centre in the City.
The establishment will feature 154 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and fitness space. The property will enter in the Motto by Hilton brand, characterized by hotels that incorporate local culture and aesthetics into their design, with features reflecting the building’s history or local art, and strategically located in desirable urban neighbourhoods, making them ideal for city explorations.
Both hotels, will benefit from Manchester’s expansive transport links, including major train stations and a tram system, offering quick access to Manchester Airport.
