Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia, has announced the opening of its first Hampton by Hilton hotel in Morocco, located in Ben Gurir, a rapidly developing city in central Morocco, serving as the capital of Rehamma Province, within the Marrakech - Safi region, a key educational/ technological hub, featuring the modern, sprawling Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) campus, proximity to Marrakech, traditional Moroccan street food/markets and a mix of landscapes and green spaces.
The Hampton by Hilton Ben Gurir is located opposite Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), campus, adjacent to the city Business Center, near OCP corporate offices and Marjane Market, 10 minutes from Ben Gurir train station, about two km from downtown Ben Gurir, and just 40 kilometres from Marrakech, positioning the property as a quieter alternative for tourists to explore the iconic “Red City” and the region.

The opening adds to Morocco’sd rapidly expanding hospitality infrastructure as the country prepares to co - host the Fifa World Cup in 2030. Morcco welcomed nearly 20 million visitors in 2025, a 14% increase on 2024 figures, with over 1.3 million tourists recorded in January 2026 alone, up 3% year on year.
To meet growing demand, the North African country has embarked on a $4 billion investment programme targeting a 20% increase in hotel capacity, with 700 projects planned across major cities and 25.000 new rooms in the pipeline. The country has set an ambitious plan target of 26 million arrivals by 2030.
