Marriott International, Inc. announced its 9,000th property with the opening of the St. Regis Longboat Key Resort.
This new Marriott International property was developed by Unicorp National Developments, a property developer based in Orlando designed by SBB Architects Hirsch Bedner HBA headquartered in Miami and Dutch East Design, an opening that sets the tone for the expanding hotel group's portfolio and marks the largest development in the area in more than 50 years.
This new, luxurious accommodation developed on an area of 18 acres in Longboat Key well known town in Manatee and Sarasota counties along the central west coast of Florida located on and conterminous with the barrier island of the same name south of Anna Maria Island between the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay.
This beachfront resort provides 168 exquisite rooms including 26 suites with breathtaking ocean views, first-class amenities with the St. Regis brand badge and high-end dining experiences.
The St.Regis Longboat Key Resort will also feature 69 private residences that will offer an extraordinary luxury experience on Florida's idyllic Suncoast.
Marriott International celebrated the opening with a celebration of signature St. Regis champagne in the resort's Great Hall that offers magnificent views of the Gulf of Mexico.
The St.Regis Lonboat Key Resort further consolidates Marriott International's global leadership in the luxury sector with an unmatched portfolio of seven brands in 522 holtes and luxury resorts in 72 countries and territories with a strong pipeline of 233 projects signed in 57 countries.
The opening of this resort also marks the latest milestone in the global development of branded residences. The 69 private residences at the St. Regis Longboat Key Resort will all be sold out in less than a year and will be completed with large terraces, private elevator access and other high-end amenities.
To date, Marriott International has a portfolio of 139 open-label residential properties in 32 countries with a pipeline of 122 projects in 38 countries.
The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort is available for reservation on marriott.com and will participate in Marriott Bonvoy®, the company's award-winning travel program that allows members to earn and redeem points for their stays at this resort and other resorts/hotels in Marriott Bonvoy's extraordinary portfolio of more than 30 brands.
