Luxury Travel Intelligence, well known global organization that
provides digital reports for affluent travelers who want to make informed
travel decisions based on detailed and honest information, covering segments
involving luxury hotels, restaurants, spa facilities and more has awarded Rome
in the second ranking place behind London for Upperlevel Hotels opening.
For some time now, the investments of the main luxury brands
have been focused on the Italian capital, with consequent significant data such
as the estimate that for 2025 foresees a 30% increase in extra luxury rooms and
a doubling in the coming years.
Examples that confirm this are the forthcoming opening of the
Maltese Corinthia Group, which has acquired the former headquarters of the
Central Bank of Italy Italy in Piazza del Parlamento and which will open the
Hotel Corinthia Rome with 60 rooms and 21 suites.
Casa Monti is a further one consisting in the first Italian property of Leitmoviv group,
developed on six floors with the design signature of the well-known architect Laura
Gonzalez who loves to create experiences with strong,
stimulating settings, rich in meaning, evoking special and fascinating
atmospheres.
Another example is the agreement between Accor and
Arsenale Group with the inauguration at the end of the year of the Hotel Orient
Express, formerly the historic Hotel de La Minerva, the only hotel in Rome that
dominates the dome of the Pantheon.
Romeo Collection comes in the Eternal City with the Hotel
Romeo Roma situated in Via Ripetta designed by Zaha Hadid Studio, famous British firm
that creates transformative cultural and residential spaces working in
synchronicity. The hotel will provide 74 rooms with magnificent views of the Roman
skyline and a restaurant signed by the iconic chef Alain Ducasse.
Although there is no exact date yet for the opening of the
announced Nobu Hotel and Restaurant on the iconic Via Veneto, owned by
Hollywood star Robert De Niro, film producer Meir Teper and highly decorated
Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisha. This luxurious property will feature 122 rooms
and suites, including one that will boast a surface of 500 square meters.
In 2025, according to Milano Finanza, they will also open the Grand
Hotel Nazareno housed in the oldest former school in Europe far from the
Spanish Steps, the Baccarat Hotel Roma which will be located in Via Veneto
Other openings will be The
Thompson Rome by Hyatt, The Hotel Rosewood, housed in the former headquarters of
BNL, will have 157 rooms including 44 suites,while in Piazza San Silvestro
Palazzo Marini will be transformed into a Four Seasons Hotel with an investment
for renovation and re-styling of over
500 million euros.
In addition to all these important openings, there are also to take in consideration the
operations of Mandarin Oriental, the Hong Kong group that will renovate 10
former Unicredit villas in Via Buoncompagni that will become a luxury hotel complex,
a project with an investment of 80 million euros with opening scheduled for
2026.
