The superb performance of San Miguel de Allende is certified for the fifth consecutive year by placing itself in the top 5 of this list of excellence that always brings together the best of international tourism with more than half a million votes thanks to the excellent management of the tourism strategy of the union of the corporations with their local municipal authorities that have been able to enhance this wonderful destination. 

In the ranking of the Condé Nast Readers' Choice Awards, life experiences are measured, services in which the great world of tourism and travel is the protagonist with hotels, events, festivals, restaurants, mobility, places of artistic, historical, cultural and craft value and other offers of tourist products that continue to constantly motivate and inspire a multitude of tourists and visitors who have voted for the umpteenth time San Miguel de Allende as their favorite destination for a stay throughout the year.

San Miguel de Allende with this award returns on the top of the national ranking even if this charming destination does not have a beach but undoubtedly this fifth consecutive time voted among the five best sites is not casuality or a coincidence.

The Mexican city has settled in the top positions in the ranking drawn up by Condé Nast next San Sebastian, a beautiful Basque city on the Bay of Biscay in in Spain and Victoria, very attractive city and capital of the British Columbia province located in the southern tip of Vancouver island in Canada and among the candidates in this 37th edition there were cities of enormous importance such as Florence in Italy, Porto in Portugal, Salzburg in Austria and another destination in Mexico; Puerto Vallarta.

Condé Nast emphasized with splendid details describing the destination nominated in these awards, in this case this center of the state of Guanajuato, a city four hours from Mexico City, a jewel called San Miguel Allende, a meeting point for expatriate artists, a mountainous city known for its extraordinary Spanish colonial architecture and its colorful facades, spending hours exploring the galleries and pop-up shops and San Miguel de Allende is an oasis hidden in the heart, to live one of the best experiences.

Certainly this note by Condé Nast is a sort of hymn that reflects the beauty of a city that in 2008 was inserted with merit in in the World Heritage of UNESCO, a centre which magnificently preserved its stunning architecture, traditions and culture and which still continues to shine today with all its beauty and charm nestled in the Baijo mountains of central Mexico.
