Leonardo Hotels, well-known hotel group based in Birmingham and owned by Fattal Hotels, has acquired the prestigious five-star Hotel Gotham situated in Manchester, which will become part of the Luxury Leonardo Limited Collection.
This transaction reveals the group's continued expansion into high-end facilities by adding a luxury Art Deco style boutique hotel designed in 1928 as the headquarters of the Midland Bank.
This prestigious accomodation that provides 60 luxurious rooms, 5 suites, a restaurant with two AA rosettes, a rooftop bar and a members' club. a structure that boasts a significant history and has long been highly appreciated and launched in 2015 by Bespoke Hotels.
The terms of the agreement, although not disclosed, reveal that the deal was supported by the Fattal Partnership Fund through Leonardo's parent company and is a further addition to high-end hotels acquired over the past six years.
Hotel Gotham is the latest addition to the group's growing high-end portfolio, which it has strengthened with several acquisitions over the past six years including other historic hotels such as Hotel Dilly in London, the Grand in Brighton and the Hotel Midland in Manchester.
The strategic operation is also focused on a city of relevance such as Manchester, a destination with significant movements in terms of business tourism, events and leisure.
