The Birdsall is located in Houston, the most populous city in the U.S. state of Texas and in the Southern United States of America in the community of River Oaks within 610 Loop and between Downtown and Uptown, a leafy, stylish residential area well known for its palatial homes, cared gardens, eclectic global restaurants, upscale stores and the famed River Oaks Shopping.
The Birdsall will be part of The Ro, a 17-acre mixed-use village within the River Oaks and its name is a tribute to the famous architect from Harrisburg, Birdsall Parmenas Briscoe, who was very active in Houston in the 1920s and 1930s with various projects and developments at Courtlandt Place and Broadcres Historic District with several of his works listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic places for their architecture.
The accommodation will be developed on 34 floors providing 105 rooms, 44 residences and a private members' club located on the first floor which will have a bar, cafeteria, library and garden.
Guests will have access to a signature restaurant, a spa with 11 treatment rooms, a space for events, meetings and various outdoor services, a 70-foot swimming pool, gardens, lawns and opportunities for alfresco dining.
The Birdsall will be the first Auberge Resorts Collection hotel in Houston, which is home to Auberge's parent company, the famed Friedkin Group, a privately held consortium of businesses and investments in the automotive, hospitality, entertainment, sports and adventure industries.
