Tourists visiting Mexico have left foreign currency that represents up to 6.8% more than between January and October 2023.
From Sectur, the Mexican Secretary of Tourism, the government department in charge of the nation's tourism promotion and development was reported that there was an increase in the receipt of foreign currency, from January to October 2024, by international tourists who left $26.499 million in the country in the different destinations of the nation, onfirming that this figure has represented 6.8% more than what was recorded in the same period last year.
The Secretary of Tourism Josefina Rodriguez Zamora, has reported that in the first ten months of 2024, the arrival of 36.3 million international tourists has been registered, which represents 7.2% more than in that period of 2023.
The International Travellers Survey developed by Inegi, autonomous agency dedicated to coordinate the National System of Statistical and Geographical Information of Mexico has confirmed that 18.7 million tourists arrived by air, who had an average expenditure of $1.161.6, that is 2.6% more compared to last year.
