Burgos, a provincial capital in Spain’s autonomous community of Castlla y León, situated in the north of the Iberian Peninsula on the confluence of the Arlanzón river tributaries, a relevant centre preserving major signs of its medieval splendour, former capital city of the unified kingdom of Castlla y León for five centuries, highlighted by stunning religious architecture highlighted by a unique masterpiece as the 13th century Gothic Cathedral, recognised as an UNESCO World heritage site, through its Mayor Cristina Ayala together with the President of ProBurgos, Society for the Promotion and Development of the city, Andrea Ballesteros unveiled the new brand and logo of the city’s promotion society.
The redesign of the brand and logo has been carried out by the firm Voltineta, a local design studio recognized for its work in outstanding projects in Burgos, a change that reinforces the city’s commitment to a modern and future - oriented image.
The new logo seeks to clearly and directly reflects the entity’s vision of the future and its commitment to the development of the city with a design composed of an ascending arrow and a “B” as distinctive representative letter of Burgos.
This visual concept acts as a compass that points the way to a more prosperous and dynamic future, maintaining a link with the city’s identity, already present in previous promotional campaigns.
The mayor of Burgos stressed that the new image is not a static brand but is designed to adapt to different digital formats, such as social networks, mupis, marquees and audiovisual media.
The simplicity and effectiveness of the design, based on essential elements, allows you to convey your message directly and in addition , the choice of a color palette in green tones reinforces the idea of cvalidation and progress, evoking the signal of the colour green in a traffic light or the symbol of a check, which suggests that Burgos is moving in the right direction.
The mayor also recalled that this renovation is part of the commitment made at the beginning of the legislature to revitalize furthermore ProBurgos.
In the last year its performance had an economic impact which reached €16.0 million, with an increase of 25% in its activity. In 2024, Burgos hosted 187 events with the participation of 184.000 attendees, and for this year 115 events have already been confirmed
Within this transformation, Burgos has boosted both its industrial sector and its cultural and heritage wealth with ProBurgos which has been key in organization of events such as the Cidiana Week, Burgos Industria and the Dance World Cup
In addition the entity will assume a fundamental role in the development of the Young Talent Plan and the Industrial Plan of the city.
