Four Seasons Hotels Limited, trading as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, a Canadian luxury hotel and resort company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, a group that transformed the hospitality industry by combining personalized, genuine care with an unwavering commitment to excellence has unveiled plans to open a new resorts in Moganshan, China, a popular mountain resort area in Deqing County within Zhejiang Province, located near Hangzhou and a short drive from Shanghai.
The project is a collaboration with Zhejiang Shangyin Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Deqing County Cultural & Tourism Development Group., Ltd, and the resort is scheduled to open in 2030.
The property will be located in Yu Village on a site spanning 23 hectares, in a beautiful area that serves as a weekend retreat and a historical summer getaway, featuring many old – missionary - built villas alongside modern eco - resorts, well known for its bamboo forests and tea plantations,and well known to be a very popular destination since the 1800s.
The area offers activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and enjoying nature, making it a significant destination for both domestic and international tourists.
The location is accessible via high - speed rail and expressway from major cities, including Shanghai, Hanngzhou, Suzhou and Nanjing.
The future resort aims to enhance the region’s appeal as a year - round destination with a design that will be integrated with the natural surroundings to minimize its ecological impact.
The property will feature 90 accommodations, including villas, and guestrooms featuring a direct access to natural hot springs, making it the first international luxury resort in the area to offer such amenities.
The development will include four dining venues, a full - service spa with seven treatment rooms, and both indoor and outdoor pools. Additional facilities will feature outdoor pavilions for yoga and meditation, as well as areas for events.
The project is part of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ strategy to expand its presence in the Yangtze River Delta region of China.
The company already operates properties in Hangzhou and Suzhou and also plans to return to a relevant destination with a high potential like Shanghai.
The future opening of the Moganshan resort will complement these existing locations providing guests opportunities for multi – destination tailor made itineraries.
