Cuba is working towards the Tourism Law to be approved in 2025

 

Cuba, charming island country located where the northern Caribbean Sea, Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico meet through various tourism professionals is currently working on the tourism project of a law that is expected to be approved by the National Parliament in 2025.

This law, which will be voted on by the National Assembly of People's Power in December 2025, is prepared by a group of experts from the Faculty of Law and Tourism of the University of Havana, and the Legal Director of the Ministry of Tourism, Juan José Alvarez, commented that if the law is approved it will represent for Cuba a moment of consolation for all that the country has done in terms of tourism.

Cuba has been able to make progress in line with the evolution of issues related to tourism law, especially in the Caribbean region.

In addition to that ONEI development, the National Bureau of Statistics and Information of Cuba has highlighted some data related to the country's incoming tourism which recorded an arrival of 153.261 international visitors in July of the current year, a figure that is in line with the figures recorded in 2022 but lower than those recorded in 2023.

For Cuba, the main market of origin in the current year continues to be Canada with 622.128 arrivals, followed by Russia with 123.358, the United States of America 95.804, Germany 40.226, Mexico 37.086 and Spain with 36.965 arrivals.

Virtually all source markets have seen year - on - year declines in the January period, with the mosr notable declines being experienced by citizens arriving from France, Italy and Spain.
