The new Budget Law through a statement issued by the Ministry of Tourism informs that over €600 million will be allocated to support the Italian tourism industry.
The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè has communicated with satisfaction this economic injection represented by these total €600 million allocated in the budget law to support Italian tourism, an important result since the resources allocated to the sector are increased in the face of a small cut that concerns only unproductive expenses.
The Ministry of Tourism has already published the information of an investment of €4.6 million that will be dedicated to highly qualifying professional training which, according to the Minister, generates a concrete response to the needs of a strategic segment of the Italian tourist offer.
Making investments in training means raising the competitiveness of national tourism by increasing the quality and guaranteeing a prosperous future for the new generations and the entire ecosystem.
In detail, the resources are specifically divided into €3.84 million for the financing of the project relating to specialized training courses in tourism services structured in modules lasting a minimum of 40 hours and a maximum of 260 hours, which can also be provided online, which include face-to-face sessions, internships in the field, webinars and seminars.
Over €757.000 will be allocated to the financing of projects for training courses of excellence in tourism services that will have an estimated duration between 400 and 500 hours that can be provided in hybrid mode and with at least part of the course in residence.
The beneficiaries of the non-repayable funding include university institutions, state and non-state, training institutes and bodies accredited by the Ministry of University and Research and/or by the Ministry of Education and Merit based on the national territory as well as recognized as institutions operating in the training sector at national level, European and international.
The contribution is aimed at financing training activities as part of a teaching cycle lasting a maximum of one year.
The deadline for participating in the call is set for 12.00 noon on 22 November 2024, a second call is scheduled for the end of the year and the complete call is available in full on the Ministry's portal.
