The CEO of the Management Company of Cagliari Airport Fabio Mereu has informed about the traffic data concerning the Sardinian airport which recorded 2,890,747 passengers which means a growth of 7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
This performance translates into the good results obtained on the front of national routes with an increase of 6.2% in travelers year on year and international with a growth of 9.3%.
The Director commented that these data is highly encouraging to believe that the summer period will close with growth that will positively affect the trend of passenger traffic throughout 2024.
As a very relevant data are the figures found in July with a traffic of over 600,000 travelers are very encouraging, a result that exceeded by about 31,600 units compared to the same period of July 2023 which is equivalent to an increase of 5.1% , numbers which represent a new record.
The summer period of Cagliari Airport boasts 81 routes divided into 33 national and 48 international routes operated by 20 airlines involving 68 destinations for a total of 19 countries connected.
