IHG Hotels & Resorts | New Property in Danang - Vietnam Added to its Porfolio

 

IHG Hotels & Resorts also known as Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts  British multinational hospitality headquartered in Windsor - Berkshire - England - UK adds to its portfolio the Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre, situated in Danang or Da Nang, a centre located on the coast of the South China Sea at the mouth of the Hàn River, one of Vietnam’s most important port cities.

 The hotel previously known as Bay Capital Danang Hotel was inserted in the brand Crown Plaza, founded in 1983, multinational chain of full service, upscale hotels catering to the business, leisure and blended travel market usually located in city centres, coastal towns or near major airports, known for providing a balanced travel experience, offering spaces that facilitate work and leisure.

 Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre that will operate under management agreement with Regis Bay Vietnam Investment Joint - Stock Company is situated in Hai Chau District, administrative, cultural and business hub of the city, close to the government and main commercial offices, Dragon Bridge, Da Nang Cathedral, Han Bridge,15 minutes driving from Da Nang International Airport and also within 100 kilometres from the UNESCO Heritage.

The hotel features 283 rooms providing lobby lounge, bar, all -day restaurant, Spa, fitness centre, swimming pool and over 500 square metres of meeting space and guests will have the option to choose rooms with views on the Han River or Danang urban landscape.

The hotel thanks to its meeting and event spaces is expected to cater to the increasing demand in the MICE segment.

This expansion in Vietnam is part of IHG’s broader growth strategy across Asia Pacific which includes more than 90 Crowne Plaza Hotels.

The Senior Director of Development for South East Asia & Korea at IHG Hotels & Resorts Chris Anklin affirmed that this new hotel reinforces and enhances the company’s solid presence in Central Vietnam which includes more 1.000 rooms across three hotels and the company plans to increase its portfolio from 16 to 40 hotels in the coming years.

The Regis Bay Vietnam Investment Joint - Stock Company’s Board Chairman, Rui Xiang Chin, excpressed his condifence in the succss of this new hotel due its central location and world’s class facilities believing that IHG Hotels & Resorts prestige, experience and global systems will performance and returns on the property.
