The Maldives | The Tourism Authorities Unveiled a New Name and Brand Identity

The tourism authorities of the Maldives, archipelagic state located in South Asia in the Indian Ocean southwest of India and Sri Lanka unveiled a new name and brand identity. 

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation has been been renamed to Visit Maldives Corporation Limited, a change which is part of broader government initiative to streamline operations and unity entities that reflects the importance of prioritising destination branding, tourism marketing, and global engagement under a unified identity.

Along with name change, Visit Maldives has unveiled a refreshed logo and updated brand guidelines, aiming to create a more consistent and unified visual presence across all platforms.

The new logo features subtle to colour tones and a more prominent logotype for increased visibility, particularly in high - exposure areas such as outdoor advertising. While the overall appearance remains familiar, the modification aims to strengthen recognition and consistency.
The updated brand guidelines include modern fonts, simplified design elements, and a greater emphasis on destination - centric imagery, with reduced use of additional graphics to support a cleaner and more cohesive visual style.
