Christmas markets are an ancient tradition for many years attract tourists who wish to have a Christmas holiday knowing the culture, folklore, local products, the lights and the colours of a country in a beautiful charming Christmas atmosphere.
There are several countries such as Germany where born the first Christmas markets, which have a long tradition and history, as well as Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy and the Scandinavian countries also offer beautiful Christmas markets, famous Gamla Stan in Stockholm,in Denmark but also Finland is an excellent destination with many fantastic Christmas markets.
A few years ago,participating to the most important tourism fair in Sweden and probably of ScandinaviaTUR GÖTEBORG Tourism Fair in Sweden and probably in Scandinavia I met some nice Finnish Operators,I was enquiring about programming and marketing package for Christmas in Stockholm with the famous Christmas Market in Gamla Stan and also Rovaniemi in Finland, the city of Santa Claus and they said to me :"In Finland, we have beautiful Christmas markets not of only in big cities,not only in Helsinki or Rovaniemi and they are all to discover and enjoy you will love them, that of Joensuu, for example, is not to be missed .."Honestly I did not know Joensuu and I told them to send me all all the information learning, knowing is always something that if it is interesting help you to develop your creative ideas and projects.
Joensuu is a town of about 75.000 inhabitants, not small, but not big at 440 km from Helsinki in the North East of Karelia, Finnish beautiful region rich in history, culture,unspoiled nature with beautiful lakes and forests that make you feel in paradise at first sight. Jensuu in Finnish means "Mouth of thr River" and the city is crossed by the river Pelijsioki flowing in the picturesque surrounding woods.Liperi Joensuu Airportis 11 km from the city with connections to Helsinki and Tallinn.
I was in contact with these operators Finnish and I decided to go and see with my own eyes this Christmas market in December and I have to say it was a fantastic experience.The atmosphere was fabulous, people very friendly,kind and polite, a Christmas Market very attractive,a large participation of the people and I felt just like at home,everybody was very so kind,You could found everything from food products to handcrafts, Christmas music and a happy atmosphere everywhere.I programmed the following year for a small group of 10 pax a mini-tour Christmas Markets in Finland with Helsinki and including a day in Joensuu.The clients when they upon returning were more than satisfied.
Sometimes the instinct, the desire to know and discover and a bit of imagination can generate interesting ideas, if you want to build a package to the Christmas markets of Finland, there are thousands of ideas and a thousand ways to do always something new if you want,you can .. When? For me always ..

I mercatini di Natale sono una grande tradizione che da moltissimi anni attraggono migliaia di turisti che desiderano avere una vacanza conoscendo la cultura,il folklore,i prodotti tipici,le luci ed i colori di un paese durante il magico periodo Natalizio.
Ci sono diversi paesi come la Germania dove sono nati i primi Mercatini di Natale,che hanno una storica e secolare tradizione,cosi come Austria,Svizzera,Francia,Italia ma anche i paesi Scandinavi offrono bellissimi mercatini natalizi,famosi a Stoccolma in Gamla Stan,in Danimarca,Norvegia ma anche la Finlandia é un ottimo destino con molti fantastici Mercatini di Natale da non perdere assolutamente.
Alcuni anni fa,partecipando a TUR GOTEBÖRG la piú importante Fiera del Turismo in Svezia e probabilmente in Scandinavia ho incontrato alcuni simpatici Operatori Finlandesi,(mi stavo interessando a programmare e commercializzare pacchetti per Natale e Stoccolma con il famoso Mercato Natalizio di Gamla Stan ed anche a Copenaghen,Helsinki e Rovaniemi in Finlandia la cittá di Santa Claus) che mi hanno detto.."Anche in Finlandia, abbiamo bellissimi mercatini Natale in piccole cittadine,non solo ad Helsinki o Rovaniemi e sono tutti da scoprire e da godere ti piaceranno moltissimo quello di Joensuu per esempio é da non perdere.." Non conoscevo Joensuu sinceramente e mi sono fatto dare tutte le informazioni possibili,sapere é sempre qualcosa che poi se é interessante ti da idee creative per sviluppiare i tuoi progetti in tema turistico .
Joensuu é una cittadina di circa 75,000 abitanti,non piccola,ma nemmeno tanto grande a 440 km da Helsinki nel Nord Est della Carelia,bellissima regione finlandese ricca di storia,cultura,una natura incontaminata con meravigliosi laghi e foreste che ti fanno sentire in paradiso a prima vista.Joensuu in lingua finlandese significa "Mouth of thr River"la cittá ed é attraversata dal fiume Pelijsioki che scorre nell´area circostante fra boschi da fiaba.Liperi Joensuu Airport é a 11 km dalla cittá con collegamenti alle cittá di Helsinki e Tallinn.
Sono rimasto in contatto con questi operatori finlandesi e ho deciso di andare a vedere con i miei occhi a dicembre questo Mercatino di Natale e devo dire onestamente che é stata semplicemente un esperienza fantastica.L´atmosfera era da favola,la gente cordialissima,un mercatino di natale di non grandissime dimensioni ma molto attraente,una grande partecipazione della popolazione,mi sono sentito come a casa,tutti erano molto gentili,trovavi di tutto,dai prodotti gastronomici a quelli artigianali,musiche natalizie e una felice atmosfera ovunque.Ho programmato l´anno dopo per un piccolo gruppo di 10 pax un mini-tour Mercati di Natale in Finlandia con Helsinki ed includendo alcune giornate in altre localitá e con una giornata a Joensuu i clienti sono tornati piú che soddisfatti.
A volte,l´istinto,voglia di sapere e conoscere ed un pó di immaginazione possono generare interessanti idee,se desiderate costruire qualche pacchetto per i mercatini di Finlandia ci sono mille idee e mille soluzioni per fare sempre qualche cosa di nuovo se si vuole si puó..Quando ? Per me sempre..
