Saudi Arabia | Leader in Tourism Growth in G20 Countries


According to the latest report of the United Nations World Tourism Barometer, a tool that monitors short - term tourism trends on a regular basis to provide global tourism stakeholders with up - to - date analysis on international tourism, there has been a 73% increase in tourist arrivals in Saudi Arabia in the first seven months of 2024.

Tourism will represent 10% of the Kingdom's GDP with one million new jobs created in the sector bringing the total workforce to 1.6 million.

The World Tourism Barometer, which essentially serves as a global benchmark for measuring the performance of the tourism sector, has found that Saudi Arabia's results are undoubtedly impressive both in terms of visitors and economic impact.

Saudi Arabia's robust and efficient visa facilitation program, including the expansion of the e-visa system, has long attracted millions of international tourists, further and very significantly improving the country's connectivity with the rest of the world.
