Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group International Limited, multinational hospitality and management company focusing on luxury hotels, resorts and residences founded in 1963 and headquartered in Hong Kong announced two new additions to its portfolio from the beginning of 2025,an expansion in Europe which includes two iconic hotels such the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam and the Hôtel Lutetia in Paris.
Upon completion of negotiations with the relevant company boards, the Hotel Conservatorium will complete its renovation in January 2026 and it will be become Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium Amsterdam, emblematic hotel in Amsterdam's museums quarter, just a short walk from Centraal Station, not far from Concertegebouw and Vondelpark, an accommodation featuring contemporary and luxurious rooms and suites which blends the charm of the past with the allure of the present.
The Hôtel Lutetia in Paris will be renamed Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris, iconic five - star luxury hotel in the heart of the Saint Germain des Prés area in the 6th arrondissement of the French capital located at 35 Boulevard Raspail is one of the best – known hotels on the Left Bank of the River Seine presenting the epitome of contemporary Parisian style in its meticously restored Art Deco grandeur.
The opportunity to operate these two iconic and historic hotel undoubtedly marks a significant milestone for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel group strategy recently unveiled and led by the Group Chief Executive Laurent Kleitman, with the triple objective of delivering exceptional guest experiences, accelerating the brand's global expansion and strengthening its presence in two of European leading cities.
The Group Chief Execuitive of Mandarin Oriental said that these new long – term management agreements for two of the hotels that represent the history of European hospitality are important for Mandatin Oriental Hotels expansion and for the strengthening of the brand's presence in the world's leading destinations.
The entry of Hôtel Lutetia into the portfolio of the group, 115 years after its opening, further strengthens the Group's presence in this market , where the company has been managing the Mandarin Oriental, Paris on Rue Saint Honoré since 2011.
With two Palace hotels in Paris one of the Left Bank between historic grandeur and modern sophistication and one on the Droite with the vibrant energy of the city's trendiest district, the group is proud to reaffirm its commitment to the French hospitality market.
Mandarin Oriental Group has experience managing two hotels in key city centre destinations including Hong Kong, London, Beijing and soon Dubai, where the group was able to showcase two distinct aspects of each destination.
In addition, the incorporation of the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam further increases the presence of Mandarin Oriental Group in the main European capitals.
Both hotels will retain ownership of the company Locka Holding BV and the founder Alfred Akirov commented that since the group opened the hotels it noticed increasing guest satisfaction making them a sought – after destination and grateful to the team at the respective hotels for the great work they have done together.
