Osaka, vibrant city in Japan located in the Kansai region, on the island of Honshū, at the mouth of the Yodo and Yamato rivers, capital of the prefecture of the same name and the second city in the country by number of inhabitants after Yokohama, third if Tokyo is considered however, considered a metropolis, and not a city, by the Japanese administrative system, located at the centre of the populated metropolitan area called Keihanshin, is preparing itself for a transformation to held Expo 2025.
Oasaka was historically the commercial capital of Japan, of which it is one of the major industrial, and port districts and a major financial centre of the country recognized as one of the most multicultural and cosmopolitan cities in the country, home of the Osaka Exchange as well as the headquarters of multinational electronic corporations such as Panasonic and Sharp will host Expo 2025 that will take place for six months opening on 13th April 2025 and 13th October 2025.
Osaka Expo 2025 will have as main theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” with also relevant sub – themes such as “Saving Lives”, “Repowering Lives” and “Connecting Lives”, and it will feature pavilions from 161 countries and nine international organizations, showcasing avant – garde technologies and revolutionary ideas serving as a platform for innovation and foster dialogue on creating a better future.
A further highlight of Osaka Expo is a series of cultural and entertainment experiences designed to complement the exhibition.
The offerings will be aimed at a wide audience, from tech enthusiasts to culture buffs, ensuring that the city become a hub of activity all year round.
For the global tourism industry, Expo 2025 represent an important opportunity to attract visitors from all over the world. It underlines Osaka’s role as a cultural and technological hub, enhancing Japan’s overall tourism strategy.
