IHG Hotels & Resorts | Returning with a InterContinental Brand Hotel to Cambodia

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational company headquartered in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK, boasting a large portfolio of hotels, resorts and vacation properties under several brands across the world returns to Cambodia, a country in Southeast Asia on the Indochinese Peninsula with a InterContinental Hotel & Resorts brand hotel. 

The future InterContinental Sihanoukville set to open in 2028 is the result of a partnership between IHG Hotels and Resorts and Peninsula Bay Investment Co., a large diversified enterprise, with business covering hotel management, real estate development and financial services, based in Sihanoukville, dedicated to providing customers with a full range of high - quality services experiences.

The hotel will enter in the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts luxury brand, known for its globally diverse portfolio of properties, offering a range of experience from historic buildings to immersive resorts.

Spanning approximately 160.000 square metres the property will be part of the Peninsula Bay Integrated Resort development, which includes hotels, retail outlets, and enterntaiment options.

The property will be located 30 minutes from Sihanoukville International Airport, in the outskirts of Sihanoukville, a coastal city also known as Kampong Saom or Preah Sihanouk, capital of Preah Sihanouk province, at the tip on an elevated peninsula in the country's south - west on the Gulf of Thailand.

The strategic location close to Otres Beach, Ream National Park and Wat Leu Pagoda, in a territory very suitable for a large variety of outdoor activities for all types of travellers, make the hotel an ideal destination for all those who want to live a authentic experience in Cambodia.

Spanning approximately 160.000 square metres the property will be part of the Peninsula Bay Integrated Resort development, which includes hotels, retail outlets, and enterntaiment options and it will feature 300 comfortable rooms offering stunning coastal views, dining venues, bars, and a spa.

IHG Hotels & Resorts with its strategic moves and plans in Indochina is expanding its footprints with 22 open hotels and 26 more in the pipeline, aiming to double its size. InterContinental Sihanoukville will join Six Senses Krabey Island and the upcoming Vignette Collection Phnom Penh Odom, set to open in 2027.
