The Director of Travel Trade and Market Development at DCT, Abdulla Yousuf said that the arrival of Disney on Yas Island signals the strength of the emirate Tourism Strategy in action and by bringing world - renowned brands like Disney Parks is a move to enrich the destination with best in - class experiences.
The new Disney theme park will be situated right on the waterfront and will become the most technologically advanced park in the emirate.
For the development of this major theme park Walt Disney Company is teaming up with Miral Group, a leading developer of award - winning and leisure destinations and attractions including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld and Warner Bros.
Miral Group headquartered in Abu Dhabi is a company established in 2011 that played a key role in the rapid growth of Abu Dhabi’s tourism sector, in support of Emirate’s Economic Vision 2030 strengthening the city and emirate’ s reputation as a global destination with unique attractions and world - class infrastructure.
Walt Disney co.will join other Miral developed resorts and attractions on Yas Island, which is Abu Dhabi' s main entertainment and amusement park hub which holds the Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World park that hosts Formula Rossa, the fastest rollercoaster in the world.
