Raffles Hotels & Resorts | To Open its First North American Resort in Los Cabos Region, Mexico

Raffles Hotels & Resorts, a famed Singaporean chain of luxury hotels established in 1887, an upscale brand owned by Accor S.A. famous French multinational hospitality company based in Issy - les - Moulineaux has announced its plans to open its First North American resort in Los Cabos Region, Mexico.

 Raffles Estera Cape Resort & Residences is expected to open in 2029 and it will be developed in partnership with ONE Development Group, a company founded in 2009 specializes in construction, design, project management and real estate services, headquartered in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico

GFG Securities, real estate financial advisory, based in Miami, Florida, U.S. played an advisory role during the management agreement negotiations and will secure the debt and equity financing for the development of this relevant project.

This development will mark Raffles Hotels & Resorts first resort in Mexico and the second property in North America, following the successful opeming of Raffles Boston. 

This future opening by Raffles Hotels & Resorts represents a significant move in terms of expansion of its global presence in a very demanded destination as Los Cabos region, very famous to offer a diverse range of tourism highlights, from its beautiful beaches, water sports opportunities to various outdoor adventures and cultural experiences.

The resort and residences will enjoy a unique location in the desert landscape between the captivating Sea of Cortez, also known as the Gulf of California, a body of water in Mexico that separates the Baja California, from the Mexican mainland, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, well known for its rich marine life and diverse ecosystem and the captivating Sierra de la Laguna mountain range designed in 1994 as a hemisphere reserve by UNESCO,  highlighted by over 900 plant species, including many endemic to the region. 

The property is set to inhabit a sought - after stretch of untouched beachfront in East Cape of Los Cabos community of Los Cabos, extending from San Jose del Cabo to Los Barriles, about a hour drive from Los Cabos International Airport.

Emphasising sustainability, the property will reflect Raffles Hotels & Resorts and ONE Development Group's commitment to responsible development.

In its development phase the resort is planned to feature 80 rooms and 46 residences and is expected to provide uninterrupted sea views, calm waters and a swimmable beach, making it ideal for a range of water sports, exploration of the rich marine life of Los Cabos and various outdoor activities.

Olson Kundig, an acclained architectural firm based in Seattle, Washington will manage the resort's design, Toronto - based Studio Paolo Ferrari specialises in luxurious interiors and furniture that blend timelsess design with innovation will conceptualize the property's interior and Huber Design, Interior Design and Architecture Studio headquartered in Guadalajara will be responsible for the residences.

The complex will provide seven distinct dining options, a lobby lounge, signature restaurant, specialty restaurant, pool bar, a gourment café, and a signature Raffles Long Bar and Writer's Bar.

Other amenities include several outdoor pools, an expansive spa, a beachfront water sports centre, club spaces for children and teenagers and curates retail stores.
