ByPillow a management company specialising in urban boutique hotels based in Barcelona, Spain with annual operations, a group characterized to offer excellence in service, comfort and authentic experiences expanded its portfolio in Andalusia, autonomous Community in Southern Spain with the addition of three boutique hotels in Cádiz and Malaga, reaching 36 assets in Spain and Italy, including those that are already operational and those that are in the refurbishment phase.
The three new hotels signed are Bypillow Villa Lorena and Bypillow California both in Malaga, which mark the company’s entry into the capital and largest centre of the Costa del Sol and Bypillow Patagonia Sur in Cádiz where the hospitality group already has two other properties and boasting a total of 52 rooms and 5 apartments in the the two Andalusian cities.
Bypillow will restyle the interior design of the hotels to align them with the image, standards and brand value.
The Bypillow Villa Lorena, Malaga - This historic villa converted into a boutique hotel provides 9 bedrooms, a garden winth swimming pool, a gym and Mediterranean – style decoration. The hotel is located in El Limonar, one of the most distintiguished neighbourhoods in Malaga, a place that combines the sophistication of a residential area with the beauty of being by the sea.
The Bypillow California, Malaga - This property is located on the Paseo de Sancha, an important urban artery of Malaga, a few metres from the famous La Malagueta beach. The group has decided to retain its original name as a strategic commitment to continuity and accumulated recognition. The hotel with more than 45 years of experience is a consolidated accmmodation and it features 28 comfortable rooms.
The Bypillow Patagonia Sur, Cádiz- This contemporary property is situated in the historic centre of Cádiz, under a five – minute walk from the city’s Cathedral and close to the port and beachfront provides 15 rooms and 5 apartments, boasting a prime location to explore and enjoy the major centre of the Costa de la Luz.
Co - CEO of Bypillow Group, Albert Durán said that the company continues to bet on destinations that allow sustainable operations through the year.
Malaga and Cádiz are vibrant, well connected cities with huge long - term potential. The three boutique hotels fit perfectly with the model of the group, boasting excellent locations, differentiation and efficient management.
Andalusia has become a strategic axis for the group’s expansion, thanks to the strength of demand. In the first four mounth of 2025 alone, Malaga exceeded one million overnight hotel stays, according to data from INE, the National Institute of Statistics, while Cádiz maintains a prominent position in urban and heritage tourism, with a solid demand in both high and low season.
Following these incorporations, the company is studying new opportunities in both Spain and Italy, with the aim od continuing to grow selectively in destinations with their own identity and constant demand.
