Hilton Worldwide Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Tysons, Virginia has finalized an agreement with DIAL, Dehli International Airport Limited, a venture led by GMR Group, an Indian conglomerate headquartered in New Delhi and operates across various sectors, including airports, energy and urban infrastructure with world class projects in India and abroad to introduce two new hotels in New Dehli's GMR Aerocity, India near Delhi international Airport.
These new projects are expected to enhance Hilton's existing portfolio in the NCR, National Capital Region and New Delhi, which currently includes four establishments.
The properties. will operate under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels & Resorts brands, a strategic move to expand Hilton's portfolio in a very demanded area in the Indian capital.
Both hotels situated in a zone recognized as India's first global business, leisure and entertainment district that offers a sustainable, smart and resilient infrastructure with premium office spaces, world - class hospitality, 100+ world's most exquisite F&B brands and a vibrant urban environmemt., making it a central hub for hospitality and commercial activities in the New Delhi metropolian area.
GMR Aerocity's strategic location offers optimal connectivity to the city and the broader region, potentially increasing guest traffic and business opportunities for the new hotels.
The Waldorf Astoria hotel will mark its debut in India's capital, providing 150 rooms and suites, offering signature dining options, large event spaces, and wellness amenities, a development that is part of Hilton's broader strategy to expand its luxury brands in India's rapidly growing market.
The agreement between Hilton and DIAL includes the launch of a 350 - room Hilton & Resorts property, the first of its kind in New Delhi, a hotel that aims to cater to business and leisure travellers, offering comfort, sophisticated facilities, various dining options, and social spaces.
The exact timeline for the opening of the two hotels has not been disclosed.
