IHCL, The Indian Hotels Company | Announced the Development of a New Vivanta - Branded Hotel in Mysuru. Karantaka, India

IHCL, the Indian Hotels Company Limited, renowned hospitality group headquartered in Mumbai, part of Tata Group and boasting a large portfolio of hotels, resorts and vacation properties across the Indian territory announced the development of a new Vivanta branded hotel in Mysuru or Mysore, a city in India’s southwestern Karnataka state situated at the foothills of the Chamundi Hills.

Mysuru is well known for its rich historical and cultural heritage, highlighted by Mysuru Palace and Brindavan Gardens, famous in the world for its sandalwood and rosewood artifacts, stone sculptures, incense sticks, work with ivory and its exquisite silk sarees.

The city is currently a growing urban centre that benefits from enhancement connectivity such as the recently completed Bengaluru - Mysuru Expressway, an infrastructure improvement that has boosted the region’s travel and tourism sector, making it an attractive location for new hospitality investment.

This greenfield project is part of IHCL’ s expansion strategy in culturally rich and economically growing regions and the future hotel wll enter in a brand like Vivanta established in 2010, positioned as an upper - upscale brand, complementing Taj’s luxury offerings, focuses on providing stylish and sophisticated experiences for both business and leisure travellers.

The development is the result of an agreement of collaboration with Farah Group, a local real estate developer and marks a very significant step for the expansion of IHCL’s portfolio bringing the Vivanta brand to Mysuru, a partnership that aims to address the city’s increasing hospitality needs.

The property loyal to the concepts and philosophy of the brand is designed to cater both business and leisure traveller will be located near the Hebbal Industrial Area, a very active city’s suburb, the largest privately held Tech Park in Mysuru with great accessibility and near the Infosys campus.

The hotel will feature 115 rooms, an all - day dining restaurant, a bar, a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool and spaces suitable for meetings and social events.

The Vivanta hotel in Mysuru is expected to play a crucial role in catering to the rising number of visitors to the city, and with the addition of this new hotel, IHCL will operate 26 hotels in the state of Karnataka, including 12 properties currently under development.
