TRIBE, hospitality company founded in 2017 in Perth, Australia as the brainchild of design - lovers Mark and Melissa Peters,offering hotels that are defined by the lifestyles of modern travellers can check in, kick back and experience the destination authentically, expecting contemporary design details, comfortable spaces and unpretentious luxuries at an affordable price opened a new hotel at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, marking the brand’s second location in Hungary following the brand’s debut in 2023 with ibis & TRIBE Budapest Stadium at Liberty.
The hotel opened its doors in Budapest, a very popular destination known for its rich cultural and historical heritage highlighted by stunning architecture, thermal baths, unique views on the Danube River and vibrant nightlife.
The TRIBE Budapest Airport Hotel was developed by WING, a privately owned Hungarian real estate company, a leading property and investment group very active in Hungary and in Central Europe.
The hotel will be operate under a management agreement with Accor Group, French multinational hospitality group based in Issy - les - Moulineaux and its architectural design was carried out by Aspectus Architect, a subsidiary of WING that previously collaborated with Accor on the the ibis Styles Budapest Airport Hotel which opened in 2018.
The construction was managed by Swietelski Magyarország, a leading Hungarian construction group which boasts several works all around the country, with interiors designed by este’r partners, company with over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture, interior design and fit out construction with experienced architects and Corporate office in Szentendre, Hungary.
The property is part of WING’s broader strategy to develop sustainable properties that provide long - term value and aims to be one of Hungary’s first BREEAM - certified hotels, indicating a focus on sustainability.
The hotel is adjacent to the ibis Styles Budapest Airport at the entrance of Terminal 2 and features 167 rooms, a restaurant, rooftop skybar, a fitness centre on the 7th floor, an outdoor terrace for 60, a 150 - seat conference room, two meeting spaces and a lounge with a capacity for 140 guests, making it an ideal destination for events and social gatherings.
The new hotel is expected to enhance Budapest Airport’s infrastructure and support the city’s role as a regional business and tourism hub and its location is intended to meet the demand for additional accommodation capacity at the airport.
TRIBE currently operates over 20 hotels worldwide and has more than 30 properties projects in development.
