Al - Ahsa Oasis, also known as al - Hasā or Hajar is the largest oasis in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site situated 60 kilometres inland from the Persian Gulf coast and is the heart of the Al - Ahsa Governorate, characterized by its 2.5 million date palm trees, springs, wells and historical buildings.
dusit2 Al Ahsa scheduled to open in 2027 is the result of a hotel management agreement with Al Ghadeer Group and will the second Dusit - branded property in Saudi Arabia, following the upcoming opening of Dusit Princess Al Majma’a in the capital of the country Riyadh expected in the fourth quarter of the year.
The property will enter in the dusit2 upscale, full service hotel brand launched in 2006, known for its modern design, cutting - edge technology, and focus on convenience for today’ s travellers. These hotels and resorts are designed to be more than just places to stay, offering spaces for work, relaxation, and socializing.
The resort’s location offers proximity to cultural and ecological sites such as Al Qarah Mountain, one of the most important natural sights in Al - Ahsa, a mesa of 75 metress registered in the UNESCO World Heritage center’s list in 2018, Jawatha Park, located in the village of Al - Kilabiyah, a very popular theme park, beside the heritage Mosque Jawatha Masijd, and the historic Al -Qaisaryah market, located in the Al - Rafa’ah dstrict, a large souqand dates back to almost three - hundred years.
The resort’s design, crafted by Cairo - based El Ghoneimi Architects, an acclaimed Egyptian firm specializes in innovative and contemporary developments present across various projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will incorporate elements inspired by the surroundings desert landscape and local cultural motifs.
dusitD2 Al Ahsa will feature 120 suites, ranging from one - bedroom to three - bedroom configuration, Each suite will include a private terrace and plunge pool.
Dining options will consists of an all - day restaurant, and a lobby café. Facilites at the resort will include a wellness centre with private treatment rooms, yoga, meditation areas, a 1.500 square metre ballroom, outdoor event spaces, a large swimming pool, a children’s pool and a kids club.
