San Pedro, a town on the southern part of Ambergris Caye, Belize’s largest island, known for its water sports, scuba diving and snorkeling actiivities, gateway and centre for sailing and reef exploration of emblematic sites the 124m - deep Great Blue Hole will host from 24th to 27th September 2025 the Beyond Blue Dive Summit, a relevant event dedicated to diving and marine conservation.
The event will take place at Sunset Caribe Belize, San Pedro, and Ambergris Caye and is open exclusively to certified divers with valid credentials from agencies such as PADI, SSI, NAUI, and others.
The Beyond Blue Summit that combines underwater experiences with marine conservation efforts will be a great opportunity for certified divers, sustainable tourism leaders, conservation experts, and content creators to explore and protect one of the most valuable marine ecosystems : the world’s second – largest barrier reef and the largest in the Northern Hemisphere.
Certified divers can participate in guided dives like the Hol Chan Marine Reserve well known for its abundance of sea life, biodiversity initiatives and coral restoration and the WIT artificial reef at the Turneffe Atoll, alongside “Deep Dive” sessions on ocean sustainability and expert connections, where key conservation topics are presented in a relaxed atmosphere with immersive marine explorations in the morning with guided dives.
In addition to connecting participants with experts from the Ministry of Blue Economy and associations such as Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association, the Beyond Blue Summit offers a unique platform to learn, collaborate, and tell authentic stories about the future of responsible tourism and ocean protection.
