IHG Hotels & Resorts | Opened its First Atwell - Branded Hotel in Shanghai, Marking the Brands’s Debut in Greater China

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British multinational hospitality company based in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK has opened its first Atwell - branded hotel in Shanghai, sprawling city on China’s central coast, the country’s biggest centre, known for being a global economic powerhouse, major hub for finance, culture and technology, a bustling metropolis with a mix of historic architecture vand futuristic skyscrapers, a world’ s class shopping destination, and a top tourist spot offering vibrant city life, famous landmarks, its distinctive Shanghainese cuisne and often called the “Magic City” and “Paris of the East” for its dynamic international feel of old and new. 

The opening of the Atwell Suites Shanghai Wuning by IHG marks the brand debut in Greater China and aims to strengthen IHG Hotels & Resorts’ presence in the selected service lifestyle segment, targeting younger consumers who prioritize individuality and quality.

The hotel is located in the bustling commercial hub of Wuning Road in Putuo District, in the northwest of Shanghai, an important land gateway and transportation hub for the city to connect the Yangtze River Delta and the mainland,  a 4 - minute drive from Jing’an Temple and 11 minutes from The Bund

The property features 174 comfortable guestrooms and is designed with a focus on comfort and functionality, incorporating smart home systems in each room. Selected rooms feature high bar seating areas that are suitable for both work and leisure.

The Atwell Suites Shanghai Wuning by IHG provides a semi - open streetside terrace at the B.N.B. Café which offers dining and leisure options, the “Dialecte” lifestyle boutique store, offering a retail experience that focuses on design and craftmanship and various public spaces.

Additional amenities include a gym, and laundry facilities that combines fitness, laundry, and social interactions.

The hotel enters in the Atwell brand centred on an exquisite lifestyle philosophy, dedicated to delivering high - quality stays for life - loving maximiser. Atwell features open - spaces layouts enhanced with vibrant colour accents, curated artwork decoration, and thoughtfully designed daily essentials.
