Marriott International | Officially Opened its Second JW Marriott Hotel in Japan, Located in Tokyo

Marriott International, American multinational hospitality company based in Bethesda, Maryland, has announced the official opening of a new hotel in East Asia, its second JW Marriott hotel in Japan, located in Tokyo, the capital and largest city of the country.

The JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo is strategically located at 2 Chome 21 - 2 at the centre of Takanawa Gateway City, a sustainable redevelopment of a northern portion of Tokyo, within walking distance from the busy Shinagawa Station, a planned terminus for the Chuo Shinkasen will connect the Japanese capital with other major cities such as Nagoya and Osaka and providing convenient access to Tokyo Haneda Airport,  approximately 20 minutes away.

The property features 200 comfortable rooms and suites developed with modern Japanese interiors and floor - to - ceiling windows offering views of Takanawa Gateway City Skyline. 

The hotel is set to introduce the brand’s Mindful Rooms and Suites concept in Asia, accommodations designed to provide a calming environment for guest, with the launch planned for December 2025.

Dining options at the JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo include various restaurants and bars. The dining offerings are led by Culinary Director Conrado Tromp, who brings over 25 years international experience. The F&B options include a kappo and a Mediterranean restaurant, a croissant bar, and the property also feature a JW Garden, where local herbs are cultivated for use in cocktails and dishes.

Amenities include a pool area on the 28th floor, a spa offering treatments inspired by Japanese wellness techniques, a fitness centre and an Execuitve Lounge on the 27th floor, offering views of the Tokyo skyline and various food presentations throughout the day.

The hotel also offers 1.140 square metres of event space, including a ballroom equipped with movable LED walls, which are noted as the largest in Japan. The event facilities are designed to accommodate business meetings and social gatherings. 

The new hotel is now part of JW Marriott brand characterized by an approachable mindful luxury, focusing on guest - wellbeing through holistic wellness programs, serene spaces, and experiences inspired by nature and local culture.
