Meliá Hotels International, Spanish hotel chain founded in 1956 and headquartered in Palma de Mallorca will incorporate into its portfolio the Holiday World Resort Complex, located in Benalmádena, a vibrant Spanish town on the Costa del Sol within the province of Malága in the autonomous community of Andalusia, known for its beaches, the award - winning Puerto Marina, highlighted by blend of traditional and modern attractions into three main areas: the historic Pueblo (Old Town) , the coastal Costa, and the lively Arroyo de la Miel.

The World Resort Complex is located in Benalmádena - Costa at the very heart of the Costa del Sol and owned by Grupo Peñarroya, a group based in Benalmádena, made up of family businesses guided by CSR values and dedicated to tourism development for more than 45 years.

The complex known for its family - oriented, all - inclusive vacation offerings consists of three four - stars hotels, Holiday World Polynesia, Holiday World Riwo, and Holiday World Village, and the Casamaïa premium apartments, totalling 864 rooms, and will operate under the Affiliated by Meliá brand beginning in March 2026.

Each hotel within the complex offers distinct features. Holiday World Polynesia features 328 rooms and providing six restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool, mini golf, and a bowling alley. Holiday Riwo offers 148 rooms, focuses on family - oriented leisure spaces and features three restaurants and a gym, and Holiday World Villages boasts 360 rooms, offering six dining venues and a range of entertainment options.

The Casamaïa apartments provide 28 units, including suites and penthouses, featuring a spa, gym and pools.

The future Affiliated by Meliá Holiday World also features a Beach Club spanning 29.000 square metres, including a variety of dining options, nine pools, eleven jacuzzis, a wave pool, slides, themed water areas, sports facilities, a 3.600 - square - metre centre with tennis, paddle, and basketball courts, a football pitch, and functional training areas. For the 2026 season, four pickleball courts will be added.

With this addition Meliá Hotels International will increase its presence in the province of Malága to 22 hotels, further consolidating its position in the region.
