Marriott International Inc., American multinational hospitality company based in Bethesda - Maryland expands its presence in Eastern Europe formalizing an agreement with Danube Riverside d.o.o. Beograd, to establish its upscale, prestigious subsidiary and brand Ritz - Carlton, famed for its a credo and corporate philosophy of unwavering commitment to service, setting the standards for luxury experiences the world over in Belgrade, vibrant city and capital of Serbia which is anticipated to launch in 2027.
The aim is to bring the brand's high standard of service and design to a relevant city in the Balkans with an ambitious project linked to Serbia's growing importance as a destination for both business and leisure travel and the Chief Operation Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa at Marriott International Sandeep Walia highlighted the commitment of the group to expanding more its brands in Serbia and the wider region.
Belgrade is a very relevant, historic and cultural city at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, a important crossroad of the Balkan Peninsula and the Pannonian Plain, well known for its blend of historical charm, relevant landmarks, stylish building, modern infrastructure, a great, vibrant nighlife all features which make this centre a unique destination for a diverse range of travellers.
The hotel location is on Nikola Tesla Boulevard, directly along Danube riverfront within close proximity to key business and government areas, Belgrade's old town as well as cultural and entertainment venues, such as the Sava Congress Centre and the Stark Arena, not far from Zemunski Park and Brankov Most with a very easy access to the rest of the entire metropolitan area.

Beograd Ivan Bošniak expressed the enthusiasm of the company about partnering with Marriott International commenting that the hotel will be a key feature of a larger project that includes residential and office towers, a conference center, a marina and a promenade, revitalizing the site of the former, emblematic Hotel Jugoslavija.
Marriott International currently operates four properties in Serbia such as the St.Regis Belgrade, Sheraton Novi Sad, Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center and Moxy Belgrade.
