Dusit International, leading multinational hotel and property company based in Bangkok, Thailand, a hospitality group founded in 1948 boasting a large portfolio of hotels, resorts and vacation properties under various brands offering distinctive experiences has signed a strategic partnership agreement for hotel development with SYDEL, a French real estate investment firm with the aim to establish Dusit France.
The partnership was formalised at an exclusive signing ceremony held on 10th July 2025 in the French capital, Paris. At the event Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, Gilles Cretallaz, shared the vision for Dusit France. As French native, Dusit International Manager outlined the group’s growth ambition in the region.
This move aims to introduce Dusit’s unique brand of Thai - inspired gracious hospitality to France through strategic locations, innovative concepts, and mutually beneficial partnership.
Leveraging SYDEL’s local knowledge and operational expertise, the joint venture will focus on identifying opportunities for Dusit Hotels and Resorts, whose portfolio on nine brands spans the lodging - spectrum from affordable lifestyle hotels to full - service luxury retreats.

• Devarana – Dusit Retreats – Wellness Luxury
• Dusit Collection – Character Luxury
• Dusit Hotels – Upper Upscale
• dusitD2 – Lifestyle Upscale

• ASAI Hotels – Lifestyle Midscale
• Dusit Suites – Lifestyle Long Stay
Together, Dusit International and SYDEL will identify strategic locations, support asset owners with repositioning projects. They will introduce innovative hotel concepts focused on delivering memorable guest experiences, championing well - being, and creating long - term sustainable value.
Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, Gilles Cretallaz, expressed his enthusiasm to partner with Sydel to seek opportunities top expand Dusit’s footprint stating that the company will bring its distinctive brand of Thai - inspired hospitality to France that reprents one of the world’s most iconic travel destination.

This strategic move will expand Dusit’s portfolio that currently spans 294 properties across 18 countries and it comprises 55 operating under Dusit Hotels and Resorts brand and 239 luxury under Elite Havens.
In Europe Dusit International operates the upper - upscale Dusit Suites Athens located in a suburb of the Greek capital in the the coastal district of Glyfada on the Athenian Riviera.
