The United Arab Emirates General Aviation Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance air safety standards with Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency, as reported the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
This cooperation reflected in the MoU aims to strengthen a solid partnership between the two countries on civil safety policies and standards, including the exchange of information, visits, expertise, and training while supporting the adoption of global practises in the sector.
The accompanying work plan focuses on practical implementation, enabling coordination on approvals, mutual recognition of compliance certificates and technical reports, and enhancing operational efficiency to maintain the highest safety standards.
The report stressed that the agreements linked to the air safety standards that include regulations and practices set by ICAO and national civil authorities also include standards cover pilot training, aircraft maintenance and design, air traffic control, and airport infrastructure, all managed through a Safety Management System (SMS) encompassing safety policy, risk management, assurance, and promotion are expected to strengthen joint relations and further position both countries on the global aviation map.
