Seville, the capital and largest city of the Spanish autonomous community of Andalusia, situated in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, well known for its rich history, stupendous Mudejar architecture present in its quaint neighbourhoods and one of the cradles of Flamenco will host the 34th edition of SICAB, the International Horse Show from 19th to 24th November 2024.
The event will be held at FIBES, the Seville Exhibition and Congress Center and the 2024 edition highlights its international character with farms from 11 countries and delegations of breeders, experts, trainers and journalists with the presence of more than 850 horses, 321 stands and 81 livestock boxes, solidifying itself as a fundamental showcase for the equestrian industry and related sectors.
The President of ANCCE, the Royal National Association Spanish Horse Breeders worldwide José Juan Morales underlined the worldwide importance of this 2024 edition by welcoming this year farms from Spain, Belgium, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic and the United States of America with also delegations of farmers, subscribers, specialized press and influencers who will arrive from Belgium, Germany, Morocco, The Netherlands and the United States of America.
SICAB which consolidates itself as the world's largest PRE gathering, the purebred Spanish horse is considered an event of enormous cultural, sporting and commercial importance for Seville and Andalusia and during the presentation its importance was presented in a space that integrates competition, exhibition, training and commercial exchange.
The Mayor of Seville José Luis Sanz underlined that SICAB is a key event for Seville, which during that week becomes the capital of the Spanish horse breed with the city having the privilege of hosting a unique equestrian event in the world with an economic impact of over €60 million which reinforces its position as an international reference point and the third most important event after Easter with the "Semana Santa" and the "Feria de Abril" the April Fair celebrated in the Andalusian capital.
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucia, the Andalusian Governemnt, Consolación Vera showed her support for SICAB by declaring that the Andalusian Government has a constant commitment to livestock farms and we want this event to continue to be a world reference point where the image of Andalusia is promoted that unfolds its potential with all its products.
The Deputy Minister then underlined the value of Andalusian farms and the daily work of breeders who position Andalusia as an example for other countries.
The Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalusia Maria Esperanza O' Neill underlined that SICAB enhances the ancestral and intangible heritage of Andalusian culture by highlighting the equestrian tradition and its crafts, the heritage of all the Adalusians.
This event is unmissable in the social and cultural agenda of Seville exceeding in each edition the figures of participation and visits, events as SICAB are essential to preserve and project a cultural asset that is part of the local past and that we want to spread into the future.
The President of the Caja Rural del Sur Foundation ,José Luis Garcia - Palacios underlined the international relevance of SICAB and the importance of this event to highlight the Spanish breed horse, an event of international repercussion that highlights a unique breed.
The President also underlined the Foundation's commitment to the ANCCE stating that the support is not out of interest but out of conviction, an event that promotes the equestrian industry SICAB 2024 will present the prestigious Spanish Horse World Championship and the finals of 9 equestrian disciplines, reaffirming its position as a reference event for the sector.
This very special event, which attracts the attention of the equestrian industry nationally and internationally, becomes a unique platform to celebrate and promote the greatness of the Spanish breed horse, elevating its relevance on the global stage.
