Travelport – TAP Air Portugal | Multi - Source Content Distribution Agreement Signed

 

Travelport Worldwide Ltd, company which provide distribution, technology, payment solutions for the travel and tourism industry and also IT services to airlines such as shopping, ticketing and departure control based in Langley - Berkshire - UK and TAP Air Portugal, flag carrier of Portugal, headquartred in Lisbon and member of Star Alliance have signed a multi - source content distribution agreement that includes both NDC and traditional content for Travelport agency clients.

This active collaboration aims to offer content of TAP Air Portugal's NDC permitting the agents can easily access the vast range of tariffs and offer in the Travelport+ platform.

Agents using Travelport's API, Smartpoint Cloud and Smartpoint Desktop solutions will be able to seamlessly view and compare the airline's NDC offerings alongside traditional content and book the best deals for their travelers.

Travelport's end-to-end solutions also allow travel agents to manage NDC bookings for their travellers.

TAP Air Portugal's Chief Commercial and Revenue Officer Mario Cruz said that the upcoming launch of the airline's NDC content on Travelport+ will be a pivotal moment in the mutual decades - long relationship.

Together we seek to offer a solution that makes it easier for agents to access, sell and provide personalized services to TAP Air Portugal's NDC content and offers through the Travelport+ marketplace.

Travelport's Global Head of Travel Partners Damian Hikey said that the updated agreement with TAP Air Portugal underlines the mutual commitment to creating a modern and personalized shopping and service experience for agents and travelers with NDC.

With the future delivery of TAP Air Portugal's NNC content and services from Travelport+, the mission continues with the aim of ensuring that agencies can easily buy, compare, book and offer the best deals form all major airlines, all in one place.

Travelport's CCL Content Curation Layer AI solution helps retailers minimize challenges when viewing and comparing content offerings from multiple sources, allowing agents to easily compare both NDC and traditional content in one place.

Integrated into the Travelport+ platform, the CCL uses artificial intelligence to filter aggregated content and provide accurate and standardized search results, making offers easier to understand and compare.
