Grado, Italy | First Italian Beach with Telemedicine Service

Grado, town in the regional decentralization entity of Gorizia in the north - eastern region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, located on an island and an adjacent peninsula on the Adriatic Sea between Trieste and Venice, widely known as  “the Golden Island” because of its fine, golden sand, offering relaxing beaches and spas with good quality services and an excellent thermal water park overlooking the sea is the first Italian beach with telemedicine service.

GIT, Grado Impianti Turistici S.p.A, introduced an innovative telemedicine service in Italy, thanks to the collaboration with Blue Assistance, and with the activation of the Blue Health Center QuraKare card as part of a program for international travellers, providing medical support and access to telemedicine and healthcare facilities.

This new service is in addition to several other already available such as booking sunbeds and umbrellas and accessing health information via QR Code.

All those who book for at least seven days or purchase a subscription can take advantage of 24/7 medical assistance by contacting a general practitioner or pediatrician via the QuraKAre platform.

Guests who activate the service receive a PIN to create a profile on qurakare.com , allowing access to general practitioners online.Registration is quick and easy, with the possibility of video calling in Italian or English.

The service s active 24 hours a day, 14 days from activation. For in - person specialist visits, it is possible to access discounted rates through the QuraKare network, except for emergencies.

The President of GIT, Grado Impianti Turistici S.p.A, Roberto Marin emphasizes how this free service represents a step towards hospitality centererd on well - being and innovation, confirming the commitment to digitization. 

The GIT Grado App further simplifies booking, making the beach experience more serene, with the possibility of remote medical consultations, at no additional cost.

The General Manager of Blue Assistance, Sergio Bortolami, highlighed the importance of this partnership, which offers an integrated approach to the health and well – being of families with the telemedicine service makes it possible to respond quickly to health needs, especially for tourists.
