Minor Hotels an international operator, owner and investor in the hotel sector, company founded in 1978 and headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand unveiled the future opening of its first Avani Hotels & Resorts branded resort in India.
The future property is the Avani+ Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort that will be developed in Bhogapuram, a village close to Visakhapatnam, famous port city and industrial centre in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on the Bay of Bengal, a destination well known for its rich cultural past, picturesque beaches, serene landscapes, considered an ideal spot for a fantastic coastal vacation.
The new development is part of Minor Hotels ' s expansion plan in India, which aims to open 50 new hotels in the Asiatic country within the next ten years.
The introduction of Avani Resorts & Hotels, an upscale, stylish hotel brand launched by Minor Hotels in 2011, focuses on offering a balance of comfort and style for guests,particularly for those who appreciate good design and value is also part of a plan to introduce a very performing brand in a market in continuous growth.
The project is managed in partnership with Sunray Green Space Pvt Ltd, a leading provider of comprehensive contracting and building services and a well-known real estate developer based in Visakhapatnam which is developing the project led by Mr. LA Raja Varma, the founder and Managing Director of the company who has received multiple awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his sustainable and eco - friendly tourism projects.
The Avani + Sunray Beach Visakhapatnam Resort which is projected to be completed by 2028 will be built on a 25.5 acres site in Boghapuram, a village in Vizianagaram district, located near the upcoming Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport not far the Bengal Bay and National Highway 16 and 36 positions, project in a prime destination very suitable for local and international travellers.
The resort will feature 117 rooms and 58 branded residential villas, providing a range ofr high - end amenities, including three F&B venues, a banqueting hall, an Avani Spa, an AvaniFit Gym, and a nine - hole par - three golf course.
The resort wil be set to cater the increasing demand in Visakhapatnam, a city known to be a renowned beach and leisure destination but also an industrial and trade hub with the rapid development of Information Technology Special Economic Zones and infrastructure enhancements in the area.
