Caribe Bay – Lido di Jesolo | First Carbon Neutral Water Park in Italy

 

Caribe Bay, a well-known resembling water park on Caribbean Island with 10.000 tons of white sand, more than 2500 palm trees, a water theme park reconfirmed 14 times as the best in Italy boasting 25 attractions where Shark Bay stands out, located in Lido di Jesolo, renowned seaside resort and municipality in the Metropolitan city of Venice is the first water park to reach the "carbon beutral" goal in Italy.

This important recognition was certified by a calculation carried out through Up2You's CliMax digital platform, which allows to calculate and offset carbon footprint, thus allowing to start a sustainability path in accordance with the guidelines defined by the GHC protocol, an acronym for Greenhouse, Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.

The Sustainability Manager of Caribe Bay Carla Cavaliere commented that in spite of the common understanding that wants amusement parks companies to be energy-intensive and impactful, the organization that manages Caribe Bay is very attentive to the environment.

For years, Caribe Bay has been committed to promoting the development of sustainable consumption models and raising guests' awareness of the new urgencies dictated by climate change,

Every year in Caribe Bay the energy efficiency has been improved and for some time in the Water Park virtuous practices related to waste disposal and water recycling have been implemented.
