The Oberoi Group, renowned luxury hotel company founded in 1934 based in New Delhi, India, owning and managing several luxury hotels under its Oberoi Hotels & Resort and Trident brands, also known to boast in its organization the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development, which is regarded as one of Asia's top institutions for hospitality education will develop two new upscale properties in Rishikesh, India.
The development operation is in partnership with Ladhani Group, firm established in 1982, one of North India's fastest growing conglomerates spread across UP and Delhi NCR also providing expert property consulting and real estate services.
The two properties will be located in Rishikesh, famous city in the Dehradun district in India's northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills on the right bank of Ganges River, a renowned centre with a rich cultural and historic heritage boasting across its territory numerous temples and ashrams erected along the banks of the sacred river.
Rishikesh is an iconic pilgrimage centre for Hindus,with ancient sages and saints meditating there in search of higher knowledge, nicknamed as the "Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas" and "Yoga Capital of the World".
The Oberoi Group, in collaboration with The Ladhani Group, has planned to introduce two new upscale establishment in Rishikesh. The first, an 80-room Oberoi luxury resort, will bear the "vilas" brand, implying exceptional luxury and personalized service.
The second is a unique 120-room, five-star hotel under the Trident brand, a chain of 5 – star deluxe hotels offering upscale accommodation and facilities in top centres.
The properties will arise on a picturesque 60 - acre site surrounded by the Ganges River on three sides, owned and under development by Devprayag Ganges Resorts Pvt Ltd., and Jamuna Hotel Enterprises Pvt Ltd,. both being part of The Ladhani Group.
Bill Bensley, famous American architect, landscape architect and interior designer who has designed over 200 hospitality projects in several countries is entrusted with designing these new properties, incorporating luxury with the spiritual and natural charm of Rishikesh to create memorable experiences.
These two accommodations will be added to the 19 properties declared as part of the well known EIH Ltd's growth plan, which includes apart 16 hotels, two luxury boats, and a Nile cruiser to be completed by 2029 maintaining its growth momentum, delivering an all - time high Q3 performance with standalone revenue of Rs 722 crore and consolidated revenue of Rs 831 crore with the Q3 achievements were made despite the closure of the Oberoi Grand for a total renovation.
