The hotel is a product of an eight year development journey led by J Street Hospitality, a lodging real estate firm specializing in hotel development and asset repositioning, based in San Diego, an accommodation features intuitive service, accurate details, excellence in service, and aims to to redefine the traditional hotel experience by fostering genuine personal connections instead of transactional interactions.

The property is an intimate 39 - room hotel aims to set a new standard for luxury in a very popular destination by transforming a historic Japanese tea garden into an an elegant and refined coastal retreat.

The accommodation boasts a very stylish, modern design blending California coastal elegance and vibrant spirit with the Japanese philosophy on wabi - sabi, linked to deep oriental concepts that finds beauty in impermanence, simplicity and imperfection, encouraging appreciation for the natural, transient and constantly searching for the beauty in imperfection the more natural cycle of life.

The architectural narrative of the hotel reflects the site’s past as John D. Spreckles Japanese tea garden not far from Hotel del Coronado, with a design incorporate minimalist elements, refined, clean lines, and organic material such as limestone, patinated metals, and fine, artisan woodwork.

The 39 stylish and comfortable guestrooms are meticulously designed to evoke a sense of serenity, tranquillity, relaxation and luxury, boasting premium amenities such as Frette robes, Le Labo bath amenities, Dyson hair dryers and Stearns & Foster mattresses.

The hotel is the island’s first and only rooftop bar and restaurant Dive, offering a very distinct dining experience, with a menu includes shareable plates, fresh seafood, and elevates takes on dive - bar, favourites offering stunning panoramic views and serves as a great gathering place for guests and locals. 

The property offers personalized experiences for guests, ranging from surf lessons and golf tee times, to tennis and pickleball reservations and it is now bookable, with room rates starting at $579.
