IHG Hotels & Resorts | Introducing its Second voco Hotel Brand in Seoul - South Korea

 

IHG Hotels & Resorts, British Multinational hospitality group headquartered in Windsor - Berkshire - England - UK, has announced opening its second voco hotel brand in Seoul - South Korea, voco Seoul Myeongdong after the successful launch of the first voco hotel in 2022 in the Gangnam district of Seoul, the capital of the country.

The hotel is located in Seoul Myeongdong district well known for being one of the main shopping areas of Seoul, packed with lnternational fashion brands, luxury department and homegrown cosmetics shops, famous for the presence of significant sites namely, the Myeongdong Cathedral with its gothic -style bell tower and the Myeongdon Theatre, near relevant landmarks such ad Gyongbokgong Palace and Namsan Tower, as well as traditional markets.

The hotel aims to offer a unique experience for guests by incorporating subtle Korean influences and personal touches part of the IHG’s fastest - growing premium brand that is characterized by its individual charm, providing guests with something different while also ensuring the reliability of a global brand.

The hotel boasts 576 rooms, offering great view of Seoul Myeongdong skyline, and Namsan Tower providing amenities and services such as  a buffet restaurant offering a mix of modern Korean and international cuisine, a function hall, four mmetin rooms equipped with the latest audio - visual technology, an indoor swimming pool, a children’s pool and a 24 - hour fitness centre.

As part of voco hotel’s sustainability efforts, voco Myeongdong uses amenities made from recycled materials and plant - based products.

The General Manager of voco Seoul Myeongdong Martijn Sax said that the hotel is designed to reflect the dynamism of the distrct, upon check – in guests will be treated with a local delicacy, the traditional Korean dasik, made from locally soiurced pumpkin and red bean.
