Jalisco - Mexico | Consolidation as a World - Class Destination for its Attractiveness and a Rich Tourism Offering

The Mexican state of Jalisco, participated in the last ITB Berlin in Germany, one of the most important tourism and travel trade fair in the world, platform that calls every year all the most important key players of the tourism industry consolidating itself as a world - class destination for its attractiveness and a rich tourism offering highlighted by many proposals, innovative products, and providing a large range of options suitable for several segments and niches and all type of tourists.

Jalisco is a very attractive western Mexican state fringing the Pacific Ocean, one of the most economically and culturally important states of the country, owing to its natural resources as well as its long history and culture linked to the kingdoms of the Chimalhuacán confederation that maintained friendly relations with the Aztecs and so boasting a rich cultural and historical heritage boasting important archaeological zones, charming colonial cities and towns highlighted by a great architecture.

The state boasts World Heritage Sites and Magical Towns, is known for its beautiful Pacific coastline with splendid beaches towns in Puerto Vallarta and others along the captivating Riviera Nayarit, the Sierra Madre Occidental with its scenic mountains and valleys, ideal destination for all those who love nature and adventure activities such as hiking, trekking and ziplining, a land also famous for its vibrant biodiversity, where protagonists are also suggestive hills and rolling agave fields.

Highlighted by a very pleasant climate, the state is the cradle of Mariachi and Ranchera music, and tequila, offering tours and tasting at distilleries, Jalisco state is a very popular destination also for its delicious cuisine. 

With this excellent offerings and more the Secretary of Tourism of the State Michelle Fridman Hirsch, stood out in the delegation of Jalisco, pointing out 139 business meetings have held in three days of the Fair and also confirmed that, in November 2026, the first edition of the ITB Americas Fair will be held in Jalisco.

Several wholesale agencies, consolidators, globalizers, online platforms and integrators of tourism services were attracted by the state’s potential as a world - class destination.

The delegation from the Mexican state held meetings with important companies in the tourism sector and contacts were established with prestigious operators such as Discover / Edelweiss AIR AG, Condor, Windrose Finest Travel, IKARUS Tours, NEKKRA, Diverse Tourism, Tourlane, Native Trails and Travel Boutique Austria.

 Likewise, a presentation of Jalisco as a tourist destination was held for more than 40 wholesale agencies and media outlets, highlighting the state’s culture and cuisine with a breakfast hosted by chef Salvador Carrillo, owner of La Tienda Grande Restaurant located in Puerto Vallarta.

 In addition the Gudalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau and the four state trusts held working meetings to increase tourism flows from different countries such as France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and the Netherlands. 

During ITB Berlin, the state of Jalisco aroused great interest achieving a great success for its unique cultural diversity, excellent infrastructure, connectivity and tourist attractions consolidating itself as as a world - class destination always ready to satisfy the most demanding requests.
