Panama, a Latin American country located on the isthmus linking Central and South America, a land boasting a unique cultural tapestry, a rich biodiversity, clear turquoise seas, pristine beaches, with a varied landscape highlighted by mountains, tropical valleys, suggestive coffee plantations, vibrant cities and towns and the iconic Panama Canal, which with its 82 kilometres partly artificial waterways connects the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean, saw the establishment of an alliance between the ATP , the Panamanian Tourism Authority and the National Police to ensure safe and sustainable tourism in the country.
The country created a solid plan with the aim to strengthen tourism promotion with a strong commitment between these two entities, with the goal of attracting more visitors and improving the tourist experience in the country with in addition as relevant and essential objective that one to enhancce security.
This alliance also generates the creation and launch of an initiative named "Tripea lo Tuyo", trip in your way, which aims to improve the experience of tourists in Panama, who can discover and enjoy the numerous attractions od the Central American country planning their tours, excursions and visits feeling themselseves safe and protected.
The initiative "Tripea Lo Tuyo" also focuses on the development of tourism infrastructure and training programs for industry personnel, seeking not only to attract more international visitors but also to improve the experience of tourists who choose Panama as their preferred destination and also to revitalize domestic tourism encouraging the locals to enjoy the attractiveness and the attractions of their country.
Together the National Police, the Tourism Authority already presented a set of initiatives designed to enhance the tourism sector which include promotional campaigns and strategic plans to improve the image and attractiveness of Panama as a leading, global destination.
The General Administrator of the Tourism Authority, Gloria de León, stated that the importance od inter - institutional collaboration must be highlighted, which is why they have withy the National and Tourist Police, to strengthen communication in security matters.
The General Administrator added that ATP was able to create different initiatives present in various departments next to the campaign "Tripea lo Tuyo" enhancing a collaboration that will be of utmost importance for the tourism sector of Panama.
The National Directorate of the Environmental, Rural and Tourist Police represented by the Major Alexander Herrera, shared the initiatives that the institution is developing to strengthen security in tourist areas and the two entities agreed to establish a permanent communication channel to share information and coordinate efforts in terms of security and tourism promotion.
