Flanders – Belgium | New Tourist Proposals Unveiled between Art, Cycle Tourism and Castles

 

Flanders, one of the three Belgian regions, a Dutch - speaking territory in the country's north that historically was a relevant hub for the processing and trade of diamonds, centre of Europe's textile industry dating back to the Middle Ages and birthplace of great artists unveiled its programming with the new tourist proposals of 2025.

The new Flanders' Finest itineraries have been developed with 16 cycle routes ranging from 25 to 65 kilometers that allow you to discover and enjoy fascinating villages, cities, small towns, nature reserves and castles ideal for all those who want a relaxed experience without the need to change hotels or worry about transporting luggage while enjoying magnificent places.

For all lovers of history, art and architecture there are itineraries that are an unmissable stop discovering the beauty of the Castles of Brabant, in the province called Vlams – Broabant in Flanders which embrace the capital Brussels which boasts a rich cultural and artistic history, a great diversity of typical products including internationally renowned beers,  Beautiful gardens surrounding majestic manors and a spectacular countryside.

Among the highlights are the Castle of Beersel, a medieval fortress originating in 1300 under the auspices of the Duchy of Brabant completely surrounded by a lake and one of the few defensive strongholds left intact in the entire territory and the Castle of Gaasbeek located in Lennik, a medieval pearl erected around 1240 to defend the Duchy of Brabant against the County of Flanders surrounded by a beautiful park that nowadays serves as a National Museum.
