Rfi, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, state holding company, the Italian railway infrastructure manger subsidiary of FS, Ferrovie dello Stato and Sagat, the company responsible for the management and development of Turin – Caselle Airport since 1956 have signed an agreement that will allow to provide integrated assistance from train to airplane for all travellers with disabilities and reduced mobility.
A joint note informs that through this collaboration agreement passengers will be able to be assisted in the boarding and alighting phases from both trains and planes by dedicated and adequately professionally trained personnel.
It will be the responsibility of the Turin airport employees to assist travellers up to the interchange meeting point where people will be welcomed and accompanied to the train by personnel appointed by the Italian Railway Network and vice versa.
The Service is available for all trains departing from or arriving at Turin Airport Caselle Torinese Station,
To take advantage of the assistance, it is necessary to request activation either from the company at the time of booking the flight ticket or from Sagat with at least 48 hours notice before the arrival of the flight departure or arrival.
As far as Rfi, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana is concerned, the request must be submitted through the Sala Blu channels with at least 12 hours' notice.
