Collins Aerospace, renowned American technology company, heaquartred in Charlotte - North Carolina - U.S. one of the largest suppliers of aerospace and defense product, subsidiary of RTX Corporation announced the signing of a ten-year contract for the provision of complete maintenance, repair and overhaul services for the 787 fleet with Air Europa Lineas Aéreas S.A.U. known simply as Air Europa, well known Spanish airline founded in 1984 under the commercial name of Air España S.A, with flight operations started in 1986 and headquartered in Lluchmayor - Mallorca in Spain.
Collins Aerospace, through its combined FlightSense, Dispatch SM MRO and asset programs, will provide the Spanish airline with on-site support for a range of 787 systems including electrical, environmental control, avionics, lighting, and cargo systems, as well as provide predictive health maintenance through its Ascentia software platform, and expand its 787 parts group in Europe.
Air Europa's Chief Technical Officer Pedro Macias said Air Europa is pleased with the agreement reached with Collins Aerospace as it reinforces the quality of maintenance already performed on the airline's 787 fleet.
The Dreamliner is not only Air Europa's flagship aircraft but also the benchmark in transcontinental operations between Europe and America.
For Air Europa it is essential to have a supplier of the prestige and reliability of Collins Aerospace in an increasingly demanding market such as aviation.
Cory May, Collins Aerospace's Vice President of Aftermarket Support,commented that Collins Aerospace's comprehensive service plan including resources, logistical support, OEM-certified repairs and predictive health maintenance will help Air Europa optimize the performance of its 787 fleet while reducing repair time and costs.
This agreement marks a significant expansion of the group's 787 parts fleet in Europe by significantly enhancing Collins Aerospace's ability to support European airlines, strengthening the company's global 787 support network which includes existing spare parts fleets in Atlanta, Dubai, Singapore, Toulouse, Venlo and Wichita.
Collins Aerospace's FlightSense and Dispatch programs offer maintenance contracts tailored to the specific operational needs of airlines by helping to ensure the availability of high-quality parts and maintenance, repair and overhaul services.
Ascentia software is a cloud-based solution and uses advanced data analysis and machine learning algorithms specifically developed to help airlines improve maintenance operations and increase reliability.
