Florence | Tourism Week – From 08th to 15th November 2024

Florence, stunning capital of Italy's Tuscany region cradle and home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture, an inspiring destination unique in the world will be the stage of the Tourism Week hosting two key events dedicated to the sector from 08th to 15th November.

From 08th to 09th November the International Tourism Forum will be held, an event that will offer a very important opportunity for discussion between Institutions, Associations and Companies in the tourism sector, to bring to the table of the ministerial meeting the requests of those who work in the tourism industry.

This event will represent a sort of "Outside the G7", an optimal way to open the G7 to the world of tourism and arrive at the appointment with the contribution of the entire tourism sector.

The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè commented that listening and sharing are a trademark of this government, which is why it was decided to involve the Associations and companies by meeting them in Florence a few days before the G7 to bring their contribution on such an important international stage, recognizing, once again, the centrality of the sector.

The G7 Tourism Summit to be held from 13th to 15th November, a unique event of its kind for the first time in history, will feature the G7 Ministers of Tourism, such as Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Italy, the United States of America flanked by the European Union who will meet among the Renaissance palaces and medieval streets of Florence which represents in all its essence a universal symbol of historical, artistic and cultural beauty.

This very important meeting will focus on the challenges and opportunities of the tourism sector in an era of great change with a focus also on issues related to new strategies to promote sustainable tourism, between the tradition of Italian identity excellence and the innovation of AI, artificial intelligence.

In the coming days, the Ministry will announce how to participate in the Forum and how to accredit for the press for both events.
