AC Hotels Hotels by Marriott, group of Spanish hotels that belong to the American hospitality company Marriott International Inc., midscale hotel chain serving business and leisure travellers headquartred in Madrid founded in 1997 by Antonio Catalán, as part of the participation he held in the NH Group that took the acronyms of his name and surname is focusing in a new project consisting in a new,special urban brand under development.
Essential in its essence aims to be a collection of accomodations will arise in provinces with less international tourist flows located in Spanish cities such as Algeciras, Gijón, Huelva, La Coruña, León and Ponferrada among others.
The President of AC Hotels by Marriott said that the company has a lot of hotels in the provinces of the Iberian Peninsula and the plan is going to create a kind of collection of hotels in these provincial destinations with the idea of growing.
The Head of AC Hotels explained that the new brand will have a start with 16 accommodations in the coming year convinced that the brand will work very well since the question is to adjust the offer to what the client ask for.
The President of the group referred to this project as the group is going to make the "Zara of hotels" without restaurants and with a room - breakfast - market concept with a prediction that in the next five years its portfolio can double, reaching 180 hotels.
